Marine Mosaic
Marine Mosaic is an exhibit that celebrates underrepresented voices in Seattle's waterfront culture. Curated by high school intern Emma Ponce Arroyo and CWB Curator and Development Manager Libbie Barnes, the exhibit connects CWB's maritime community with BIPOC* artists in the Pacific Northwest. It features mixed media, ceramics, textiles, and several styles of paintings, showcasing the diverse artists and their sources of inspiration. The exhibit highlights the importance of water and the sea as metaphorical realms for human expression. The Center for Wooden Boats and Gibson Ek High School collaborate to foster inclusivity and value representation, with Marine Mosaic serving as a beacon of hope and empowerment. The exhibit will run through October 27, 2024.
