Ducky
Woodworking Programs Manager
“CWB is where I got my start, I grew up here. Its been a place of great inspiration and a warm home to come back to at any time in my life.”
Ducky grew up in the Pacific Northwest with their boating experience beginning here at CWB when they were 16. They started in the shop as an assistant building our very own safety boat, Wally. They continued to work at the Center for several more years.
In 2016 they attended the Northwest School of Wooden Boatbuilding in Port Hadlock and then immediately went on to work with The Northwest Seaport and Jensen Motorboat Co. with a lot of experience in restoration and big timber builds. Throughout the years they have also spent almost every summer up in Alaska salmon fishing.
With the desire to branch out, they worked at Ballard Machine Works for two years but have since returned to the Center! You can usually find them in one of our shops working on boats or teaching classes.

“My low angle block plane. It was given to me by a dear old friend and I have fished it out of the lake twice.”
