VISITOR SERVICES

“I've always loved museums, and I'm thrilled to be at one that finally removes the barriers, literal and otherwise, between visitors and exhibits. CWB is about teaching by doing and sharing, as all teaching should strive to be.”

Cassie grew up swimming, hiking, and kayaking among the great lakes in upstate New York. Their love of exploration pushed them to study aerospace engineering in college before moving to Seattle and pivoting to more down-to-earth mechanical engineering.

After discovering the Center for Wooden Boats, they found a place where their passion for hands-on tinkering and fascination with ingenious vessels can go hand in hand, and they're excited to share what they learn with their community. When not staffing the front desk or sorting through the museum's book collection, Cassie can be found practicing guitar or learning stitch-and-glue construction with their scale model Northeaster Dory.
