“Toadstool” is a very special schooner. Drawn and built by Bill Garden as his personal yacht. She is a classic design above the waterline and modern below. Yellow cedar on oak. Yanmar diesel. Head with holding tank. See Woodenboat magazine Jan-Feb 2017 page 50. Built in 1975. LOA 29’, LWL 23’, Beam 9’, Draft 5’ 3”, Displacement 6,800 lbs, Ballast 1,500 lbs, Sail Area 555 sq ft. Featured in William Garden’s book “Yacht Designs”. A clipper bow and a horseshoe stern, a cozy varnished interior cabin with head and wood stove.
