In partnership with the City of Seattle Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR), The Center for Wooden Boats (CWB) manages moorage at Lake Union Park. Available areas include the North and West Seawalls, as well as Slip 1 – located on the west side of Steamship Virginia V.

Current Moorage Rates and Rules

North Wall and Slip 1

Moorage on the North Wall and Slip 1 is reservation only.

$1.20 per foot – per load/unload or per day, whichever is more

For overnight moorage, days are defined as 3pm-10am.

West Wall

Moorage on the West Seawall is free, and open to the public on a first-come-first-served basis. No overnights are allowed per the Department of Natural Resources (DNR).

CWB can reserve moorage on this wall for the following circumstances. In these cases, overnight moorage is allowed:

  • Historic and educational vessels who provide at least 2 hours of dockside tours (free of charge and open to the public) for each day they are moored.
  • Special events, such as Maritime Week, the Workboat Show put on by Northwest Seaport, and The Lake Union Wooden Boat Festival.
