PAY WHAT YOU CAN – Providing Access Without Barrier
CWB is able to offer Youth Programs on a Pay What You Can (PWYC) basis due to the generosity of CWB supporters. PWYC funding gives CWB the ability to award discounts to the suggested program cost, making hands-on maritime experiences available to youth who would not otherwise have access.
Pay What You Can scholarships are available to families facing financial barriers, youth service organizations, schools and underserved youth. CWB defines underserved youth as low income students, ethnic and racial minorities or students who are off track educationally.
Youth Sailing & Boatbuilding Programs
Parents and families are welcome to request PWYC scholarships for most of our individual youth programs, including summer camps.
For discount requests over 50% of the program fee, we require proof of hardship such as Washington School Lunch Program, Department of Health and Social Services, Basic Food, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, or public housing.
Schools and youth organizations who work with underserved are welcome to request PWYC scholarships for any field trip program offered by CWB. To get started, please schedule a field trip; we will follow up with you regarding PWYC.
