Norm Blanchard Regatta
September 26, 27 & 28, 2008

What is the Norm Blanchard WOOD Regatta?
This is a celebration of sailboat racing at CWB. Wooden sail boats of all kinds and racers of all levels of experience are invited. You can bring your own boat, rent one of ours or just be part of the party. The regatta is named in honor of Norm Blanchard, one of the best known and honored boat builders in the Northwest.
WOOD stands for "Wood Open & One Design", meaning that all kinds of boats will race against each other with corrected times, as well as "one design" races in which Blanchards will race against Blanchards, el Toros will race against el Toros, Beetle Cats will race against Beetle Cats, etc. There also will be a Classic Plastic category honoring great design, popularity and longevity - the San Juan 21.
How Can I Get Involved?
Happy Birthday, Fleets!
This year, the 10th anniversary of the Norm Blanchard WOOD Regatta, we will celebrate landmark birthdays for a number of all-time sailing classics: 80th for the Geary 18 (Flattie), 80th for the International Dragon, 75th for the Blanchard Senior Knockabout, 70th for the International Lightning, 70th for the San Francisco Bay Mercury, and 50th for the Thunderbird
