CWB Welcomes Adult Programs Assistant

We are pleased to welcome Ned Flash aboard as our new Adult Programs Assistant.

Ned discovered CWB through the public sail program and instantly knew he wanted to participate in the amazing community. He began as a volunteer in the Boat Shop and Livery and decided that he wanted to stick around and help out even more.  As Adult Programs Assistant, he will be taking on the role of helping to organize and carry out our various adult and family programs.

Ned’s whole life has revolved around sailing. Growing up on Cayuga Lake in the Finger Lakes region of New York, his father began teaching him to sail before he could even walk. Whatever the activity, Ned has made it his priority to be on and around the water. Throughout grade school he spent his summers racing Lasers and sailing his families 32ft sloop. Cayuga Lake quickly became too small for Ned so he turned his eye to the oceans, embarking on a gap year program for nine months, sailing 20,000 nautical miles with two Atlantic Crossings.

I’ve always loved taking friends out sailing and teaching them some basics and am extremely excited to have this opportunity to fully share my greatest passion to all who come through the doors at CWB.
