CWB Welcomes Volunteer Coordinator

Cassandra

We’re excited to have Cassandra Sandkam on as our new Volunteer Coordinator!

Before coming to CWB, she was the Volunteer Coordinator at Seattle Audubon Society, Docent Manager at the Burke Museum, and Museum Manager at The Odyssey Maritime Discovery Center. These varied experiences have led her to pursue a career working specifically with volunteers – whom she believes to be the lifeblood of community organizations. Cultivating a positive volunteer experience is a personal priority of hers and she strives to build a community where volunteers are valued and engaged.

I feel incredibly lucky to be here at The Center for Wooden Boats. With over 300 volunteers, it’s a privilege to be joining such a strong volunteer culture and hope to contribute to our future success. Since starting with CWB, I’ve received a warm welcome from those of you I’ve had the pleasure to meet and I look forward to meeting many more of you!

Cassandra’s a native Washingtonian and when she’s not working, she’s birdwatching with her husband, relaxing at their cabin on the Olympic Peninsula or drinking lots of coffee while reading a book.
