Winter Crabbing at Cama Beach

Winter Crabbing

Great news for those who didn’t get enough of summer crabbing season!

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) has announced that the winter crab season will open October 1st,  and will remain open seven days a week until December 31st.

If you’re crabbing with us, the Cama Beach Boathouse will be open to rent boats and crab traps Thursdays through Mondays 10am-6pm, weather permitting.

Please check wunderground.com, Cama Beach State Park, for wind conditions before you make the drive. You can also call our Cama Beach Operations Manager, Chuck Gittings, at (360) 387-9361 for current weather details.

The Center for Wooden Boats at Cama Beach State Park is set in a spectacular, 433-acre waterfront location against a forested backdrop on Camano Island. Visitors have the opportunity to get on the water, learn to sail, or rent the Boatman’s Cabin – a CWB member exclusive!
